Minnie is only about 1-2 years old. She is very sweet and playful. She came into the shelter with her kittens who unfortunately all tested positive twice. Minnie is FIV positive so she needs a home with no cats or other FIV positive cats. Also because she is FIV positive, Minnie must be kept indoors as not to give it to other cats.

Friendly was found in an apartment complex several months ago. He was being fed by two ladies when he one day he showed up with a wound to his neck. He was immediately taken to the vet for medical treatment. While at the vet he was neutered, vaccinated and bathed. Unfortunately, he tested positive for FIV. The wound is healing very well and the vet says he should be good to go in about a week or two. He's been there for a month already. We do not want to relase him back outside so we are hoping that someone will find him a forever home.

DC (deck cat), had been hanging around my yard and deck for several weeks. My cat was unable to enjoy the yard and the dogs were barking at him constantly, so I caught him and took him to the vet and got all the tests, shots and had him neutered. He is very nice, friendly and rubs against one's legs. He was very well behaved in the crate and at the vet's. I am in the middle of chemo for breast cancer and my cat is FIV-. DC is +. I can't keep him. He is now living on my back porch as I could not afford to board him anymore.

I found him in Canby OR last Monday. He was in bad shape so I took him to a vet. I was told he is FIV positive. Since I have been frantically trying to find him a home since I cannot give him a home myself. No shelters will take him or are full. No friends or family will take him. He is still at the vet and they can't keep him forever. He is the sweetest guy in the world with longish light grey hair. If there was anything you could do to help I would appreciate it. he has had his test obviously, he was neutered, and has had clavamox for his fleas.

Hi, my name is Sterling. I'm looking for a unique person to give me a safe, loving home and take care of me. My special family abandoned me. I'm very energetic. In fact, my activity level is an 8 out of 10. The nice people at Pet Pro Life think I may have some Bengal in me because I am so active. I love playing with feather wands and climbing to high places. You might find me sleeping on a top shelf or on the refrigerator, or on a hot day on a cool tile floor by the screen door. I like people and will purr for you if you pet me or hold me. At this time in my life (because I am young) I don't like to be held longer than a few moments at a time

This guy is sweet! Very affectionate and loves kids. He showed up on our doorstep (Elverson, PA) over a week ago. We planned to keep him and took him to the vet only to find out he was FIV positive. We have three other cats, so we can not keep him. We did give him all his vaccines, dewormed, defleaed. He is a neutered male and absolutely a fantastic kitty. We had hoped to feed him and let him roam our yard until we found a home, but our neighbor is concerned about her cat getting FIV and is talking about taking him and having him put down. To avoid this, I took him to our vet today and can afford to board him for a few days, maybe a week... The good news is that I have heard from a shelter that they will be able to take him as soon as they adopt out one of their special needs kitties - BUT they don't know how long this will take. My guess is, longer than I can afford to board him. So I need help quick. Looking either for a permanent home for him, or someone to foster him until the shelter has space! He is extremely sweet. Loves small kids and really wants to be a house cat.

Rescued from a feral group by a local humane society (one that does an amazing job with the homeless cats of our area). They have an extreme amount of cats to manage & little space to maintain. They cannot keep infected cats. This cat came to our clinic for testing & is too wonderful for me to simply end his life. I am trying to find him another opportunity

Sunny appeared as a stray in my community around Sept 1, 2006. After feeding him, it was apparent that he is very well socialized and craves human attention. I was able to pick him right up and place him in a cat carrier for transportation to my vet. He tested FIV positive. He has since been neutered, had all shots, flea treatment and microchipped. I am boarding him at the vet until I can find a safe haven for him. Do you have any space available at Marley's Cat Tales or a possible foster home for him? Don't have technology to e-mail his photo. He is short haired, white with orange markings. Very handsome. He has won the hearts of the entire vet staff!

Prince, a pedigreed, white male, Persian, was abandoned after the death of his owner. Relatives put him out to fend for himself, even though he is de-clawed. PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) agreed to sponsor the animal and had it neutered, vaccinated and placed in a foster home. Shortly thereafter he became ill and was diagnosed with Feline Aids. He responded to treatment and is doing well. However, there is no place for him to go. There are no foster homes that can care for a FIV positive cat in our area.

When we took him in, Cotton had a pellet under his ear, and he needed dental work. Cotton also tested positive for FIV. We had his surgery and dental work done. He is a handsome young solid white cat. He is a big boy in size, but very young at heart. He loves to play. He loves to be petted and scratched behind the ears. Cotton likes to talk when spoken to. Sammy is a FIV positive male kitty. He is just a big (16lbs) cuddly bear. He demands allot of attention and gives head butts that will almost knock you over. Poor Sammy had a broken jaw that could not be repaired and we suspect that he may have been kicked in the jaw. With his jaw so badly broken, it makes his tongue stick out the side of his mouth, just like the cat on the 9-Lives picture. He is very healthy, neutered, FeLV negative, vaccinated and ready for his new home. He gets along well with other cats and would love another kitty friend.

He was found eeking out a living in the parking lot of a supermarket when an AFRP volunteer found him and thought he deserved a better life. Johnny is a very romantic kitty who thrives on attention and will 'hold hands' with you by extending his paw. Johnny has tested positive for FIV which means he may do best as an only cat or in a home with another cat with FIV. He enjoys being with people and does well with other cats.

Minnie is very sweet and playful. Minnie is FIV+, and normally the shelter she is at does not keep or place FIV+ cats, but something about Minnie was special, and they want to try to do the right thing for her! Please adopt Minnie! She has been at the shelter for about 8 months, and would really like to be HOME! She is a very friendly girl and loves to play! She came into the shelter with her five young kittens, who unfortunately, also tested positive twice. They would really like to find her somewhere ASAP as she is currently living in a cage, it is a double cage, but still a cage.

Black Jack’s Saga – His story is long and sad. He was rescued from a desperate situation – threat of poisoning. His “battle scars” are so numerous, we knew what the test results would be FIV positive. Here we had a big, black, tattered tomcat and we expected him to be an unsocial feral cat. We assumed we would have to put him down, but Black Jack had other plans. He came out of that cage as sweet as could be - wanting nothing more than to sit and be brushed and pet. A year later, despite being on a special diet, he has almost doubled his weight. He has been diagnosed with diabetes and must have 2 shots of insulin a day. His medical bills have accumulated; the bulk of it resulting from the initial testing. Should this cat be put down? When you look into his eyes, you know you are dealing with a very special cat. He is not cute nor pretty, but he captures your heart. After all he has been through, he continues to give unconditional love. Please help – help him beat the dealer once again.

Camillo is a neutered, yellow and white ball of fluff who looks bigger than his actual weight of 10 lbs. We estimate that he is about 3-4 years old, and he is utd on routine shots. He is quite a playful kitty but, amazingly, he does not bear his claws while play-fighting (with humans, at least). He gets along great with other cats, but dogs that like to chase him make him very nervous. When he's not playing, his preferred spot is in your lap. Although he has a great personality and good looks, he also has FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus). This does not mean that he is sick or that he will get sick; he simply is carrying the virus. Most FIV kitties, when kept in good health, remain perfectly healthy and can live a normal life for many, many years. FIV-cats can also live with other cats as long as there is no fighting in the house. FIV-kitties like Camillo need a good home, too. Won't you give him a chance?

He was abandoned by his former owners when they moved, and then was turned away by the new family that moved into his home. A kind neighbor fed him and took him to the vet, but when he tested positive for FIV, they decided not to keep him. Fluff is a very gentle and friendly cat, who just wants a little love and a safe and warm home. He has one ear that is a little beat up, and his coat shows that he has been living outdoors, but with a little TLC, Fluff will be restored to his former glory.

Abbra is a 2 yr. old spayed female, who appears to have Russian Blue ancestry. The Russian Blue is one of the oldest known natural breeds in today’s cat fancy. It is distinguished by its thick, blue-gray, short-haired coat, which gives its body a silvery sheen, and by its vivid green eyes. Abbra is named after a character in Steinbeck’s novel: East of Eden. Our Abbra is an affectionate lap kitty, who purrs upon being petted and has a calm demeanor. Abbra has tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. She is symptom-free and healthy. FIV is a cat only virus, which cannot be transmitted to humans, but can be transmitted to other cats via deep, penetrating bite wounds. Current research suggests that cats, as a species, are well adapted to living with this virus and can often live a normal lifespan. Abbra first came to our attention when her family moved suddenly and left her behind. Help us make that up to Abbra, by meeting her and discussing adoption with us.

God bless you for what you do! Let me start over and make this shorter. I found this kitten running for dear life, on the side of the road and have taken her in in hopes of finding her a good home. She was obviously sick, so I took her to the vet. She has FIV, URI, intestinal parasites, roundworm and fleas. Everyhting can be cured and is currently being treated, but the FIV. I can't keep her, but want to find an exceptionally good home for her. She is getting along with my dogs, but stays in a crate when I'm gone because I don't trust them alone with her. She's just too small. She's had a rough start and I would like to see that she has a good finish!

Tabby - Grey Size: Small Age: Young Sex: Male/N Nick's story: Nicholas was found as a stray outside of our home in much need of help. He was wounded, had an eye injury, and needed vetting all around, basically. We took him to our vet at Petsound in Cary, NC and that is where he received all vacs., testing, neuter, Revolution, deworming, microchip, etc. We then brought him home and began our search for him to find a loving wonderful place with other FIV kitties to be buddies with. Below is what we have written on his petfinder page: Nicholas is a sweet easy going loves everyone kitty who is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped, and full of lots of love to give! A few words from Nicholas: I am an extremely loveable cat and that’s no exaggeration! I adore people (children included), adore being rubbed and playing with my toys. If you have been on the look-out for a very affectionate feline, here I am, I've been looking for you too! I am neutered and have all my shots. I am in superb health except for the fact that I have been diagnosed with FIV. Despite what many people think, cats like me can live long, happy, healthy lives with no symptoms at all. I just need to be kept indoors, given regular vaccinations, a good diet and loving human companionship. That’s pretty easy, huh? I have so much love to give and just need a family to give it to! Keep in mind FIV kitties can and do live a normal, happy, long life. They just need to stay indoors, receive regular check ups and vaccs., gets lots of love and good nutrition. Pretty much all the same things needed for a kitty who doesn't have FIV. It isn't transferable to humans, dogs, or other species, and another cat cannot contract it unless there is a serious bite involved. If you decide to give Nicholas a forever home, you'll never regret it! He will provide constant love and companionship, and an open easy going personality to go right along with it! Please email us about Nicholas if you are interested in meeting him, he'd love to meet you! This pet is up to date with routine shots. This pet is already house trained. This pet has been altered.

Poor Noah was dumped on someone's property and has been fed for a few months before the recently catching him and neutering/vaccinating him. The vet thinks he's 1-1 1/2 years young and although he is very healthy he is FIV+. He's a big orange fella who has been living in a cage for the last month and his rescuer can only give him another week until she is forced to euthanize him. He's pretty unhappy about being caged 24/7 for a month now (wouldn't you be) but he deserves love and attention and the chance to live out his life..it would be such a shame to cut it short for no fault of his own. His rescuer will give a donation and could also do a small ($15-$20 montly) donation for his care. Can you please help this poor fella???

Maverick is the only kitten found of a litter who were born of a stray under a porch in the Harrisburg area near Pitt School Road. He was found in these people's yard. They have had kittens born under their porch before. He seems to know how lucky he is because he is such a happy kitten. He looks like a pinball bouncing around! Very playful and sweet. Maverick is only about 7 weeks old and has tested FIV positive. This kitten will be retested again because the vet emphasizes they are not be considered positive until they test positive at 6 months of age and feels that it may be the antibodies from the mother's milk causing the kitten to test false positive. Even though the kitten may test positive, it will in all probability live the same life span as a negative cat, up to 20 years of age BUT should be an inside only cat to protect it from being subjected to illnesses that outside cats are exposed to. There is no adoption fee for this kitten but we stress that it must go to an inside only home. Call Dianne at 704-786-7768 or cell 704-793-7723 to adopt this precious little baby.

Living under a trailer with other feral cats.....I am in rescue and trapped her . She is spayed...has rabies and distemper shots. Since she was small(5-6lbs) I felt sorry for her and did not release her immediately after she was spayed. I always intended to but then she "bonded" with a big dog I have. In fact...I only became friends with her by leaning OVER the dog to pet her.So little by little she became affectionate towards me. So I kept her. Since all the cats tested negative I was not concerned about her...then one day a feral I caught tested positve for Aids . I realized I had better test her. And she was positive for Aids. So now I have many cats and kittens (From rescue) that are coming in and out of my house and I worry that some day there will be a fight or scuffle and a kitten or cat will contact it...I don't think I should be putting them at risk....even if it is a small risk. She is very sweet and little and I would love to send her photo if anyone is in the posiiton to help. Thank you

Gray and Cream long hair. Cooper kept showing up and hanging out around my screen porch where he could see my kitties inside. When it turned cold and he was sleeping under my car I was sure he didn't have a home to go to. He is very sweet and loves to be held and rocked like a baby. Very very cute orange and white tabby. She is a very affectionate cat. She loves snuggling with people and rolling around on her back so you can rub her belly. She loves to eat and she loves catnip. She is FIV+ but she is very healthy. I am fostering her because she was going to be euthanized but my husband is highly allergic to cats. She is basically in a cage all day. Please help Ginger kitty.

Lancaster, PA We rescued a stray from our neighborhood recently in hopes of adding him to our cat family (5 others) but he turns out to be fiv+. His name is Woody, he's as sweet as can be and loves people. He is completely healthy otherwise and may simply have been exposed to the virus at some time. We had him fixed, wormed & vaccinated despite that we can't keep him ourselves (due to our other kittles). Woody is a domestic short hair, light grey with some stripes, a big boy face and about the biggest smile I've ever seen on a kitty. If you are able to accept an fiv+ cat into your home please contact us. Ph: (717) 615-0467 anytime.

Everyone says I'm the nicest cat! I am an outgoing, fun loving, affectionate fellow who would be happy in a home with or without another cat. I don't know dogs right now but a gentle one would probably suit me fine. My edob is 4/06. Boris resides in Houston, TX.

strawberry97c5@yahoo.com it's not the greatest picture of her. but at least you can see her color, im going to get new pictures tomorrow.
When my mom moved into her new apartment, i noticed there was an abundance of stray cats running around. Ivy was the first cat i caught and had spayed. She was such an adorable, sweet cat. She would lounge around the front porch of my moms apartment all day. I'm glad she is finally inside, as i've been fostering her ever since i had her fixed. I had her tested before i got her spayed, and even though she was positive for feline aids euthanasia never even crossed my mind. I'm staying with my mom, who has three cats of her own, and even though i would love to keep Ivy for myself, 4 cats would probably be too much. I won't accept anything less than finding her a home though. So i'm hoping that she gets one in the near future.

Odie a male, Seal point Siamese was rescued from an aging family member and has lived with us for over a yr. He did not get a lot of love and attention before coming to our home. He is soaking it up and doing extremely well…with humans. He is aggressive with other cats and we already had 6 others before he joined us. He attacked each of the other cats when he first got here but it wasn’t too bad. In fact it seemed sometimes he got the worst of it. He has his own bedroom in the house and comes into the tv. room with us at night. We have been treating him homeopathically and using behavior modification to help him adjust to the other cats. He was also allowed out amongst the other cats if he was supervised. He was doing well until recently. In front of us he attacked our youngest and smallest female (3/4 his size). She was traumatized for 24 hrs and had two small puncture wounds. Not only does his presence disturb our other cats he is fiv+. Otherwise he has been very healthy. We are aware of the possible ramifications of his hurting the other kitties but has been in the family too long for us to take him to a substandard shelter, where he will immediately be euthanized. Odie is a sweet , affectionate, lap cat with “Frank Sinatra” blue eyes. He loves being brushed and if he is not on a lap watching tv purring he is at someone’s feet. He likes to sit in the kitchen with us while we are cooking or cleaning. He doesn’t claw our furniture and uses the litter box. He is also a quiet cat and doesn’t talk much. He needs to be in a home where he is the only cat. He was raised with three dogs and would groom them. There is a possibility he could go to a home with dogs that are bigger than him We believe he would make someone a very good companion. We do not have a vaccination record from before he came to us and we are under the impression that his health would be compromised, being a fiv+ kitty, if he were to be vaccinated.

Kitty was found in an apartment complex by the gym. She was infested with fleas and was losing her hair due to the fleas. She was also starving to death. She was picked up and taken to the vet where she was given all of her shots and it was there that she tested positive for FIV. She is very friendly and is starved for attention. She has been treated for the fleas and is starting to gain weight. She cannot stay at her current location because there are 2 cats there that do not have FIV. She is staying on the screened in patio for the time being until a better home can be found

Lara and I found Priscilla abandoned in our Greensboro, NC neighborhood, very confused, but very sweet. She came up to us and we liked her right away. When we took her to the vet to see if she could live with our other cat, we found out that she is FIV positive. She is a white, longhaired cat with beautiful blue eyes. She has been spayed and we got her up to date on all of her shots. We love her, but cannot keep her because of our other cat. Thank you for considering adopting her.

Last Saturday night I picked up a cat near my home, thinking it may have been my cat, which went missing a couple months back. Although, they look identical, this cat is male 2 years old and not fixed. I took him to the vet on Wednesday. He is positive for Feline Aids and Feline Leukemia. He was given a Rabies shot and medicine. Both virus's are transferable from saliva and blood only to another animal. We have a cat who lives at my home and therefore it is a risk to keep the animal here. I am looking for a family who would be willing to nurture this cat for the next year, one who doesn't presently have an animal of any kind. He was named Rafaelle, as in Arc Angel Rafaelle. My previous female cat's name was Angel. He is very loving and prepared to live indoors with a family. Again, humans can not contract these illnesses.

Moby is a sweet, affectionate, female Tabby who is litter-trained. We found her at a local coffee shop and fell in love with the way she pranced around us. We had hoped to keep her as our second kitten, but were heartbroken when the vet told us that she was FIV positive. She has taken shelter in our garage and purrs when we play each day. However, she needs a real home where her FIV status will not be a problem for other cats. We are able to bring her to wherever you want her new home to be. Please call me to adopt this beautiful, playful, LOVING kitten.

I am a local animal rescuer in Chattanooga, TN and I fix everything I can get my hands on. I have 9 cats of my own and stay involved in fixing/relocating friendly cats and ferals or doing Trap-Neuter-Release. My most recent neighborhood rescue was Leukemia AND FIV positive. He is a very friendly, young, and healthy male (about 10 -11 pounds) and I didn't have the heart to put him down. He likes to butt heads, rub on your leg, and sit in your lap. He is playful and gets vocal when he is lonely. He needs a home alone or with other positive kitties. I have been fostering him for 2 months now and it's difficult since i have 9 other negative cats. I resuced "Llittle Orphan Annie" just before she had 4 kittens on March 31st -- all boys. At one time she was someone's pet as she is very loving. My Vet checked Annie over and determined that she has Feline Aids. The kittens have not be tested yet. Currently, I have 3 cats that are adoption rescues and a dog that is also an adoption rescue. I am desperately looking for a loving home or sanctuary for Annie and her kittens. I am very willing to make a significant donation to assist with their continued care. Thank you for your consideration.

Mr Banjo Man is an especially great cat, full of life and fun, and needs help finding a forever home. He tested positive for FIV. He is negative for the much more serious FeLV. FIV means he may be more prone to infections although he can live a very long healthy life. He absolutely needs to be an indoor cat (and wants to be). The virus is not transmissible to other species. Banjo is named because of his round expressive face. When I found him, he was limping from a cat bite (probably the source of the FIV infection) but has since healed and bounds around the house. He adjusted quickly to life inside and has become a wonderful pet. While he will look out the french doors, he does not try to get out. Banjo has discovered that petting and brushing are quite enjoyable, and a lap is the best place to be. While he is talkative, he is not obnoxious about it. His litterbox manners are quite neat.

I’m a very sweet girl who is unfortunately FIV positive. I may still live a long and happy life but will be more susceptible to infections so I need a safe indoor only home. FIV is not transmissable to humans or other species. I’m a little shy at first but will purr away once I know you. I also love to play – especially with my tracker. A token donation will be requested.

Yogi is a 13.7lb orange cat who showed up at our front door one cold Jan night appearing very hungry, dirty, and generally in bad shape. We fed him and he eventually left and went about his business. He returned 2-3 preceeding nights and was fed each time. We realized that he had no where to go and was here to stay. We made him a "home", which included a heating pad(on low) hidden under a large fuzzy pad, just outside our front door. We ran an ad in the lost&found section of the local paper and got a response from a lady who thought she remembered him as an outdoor cat she had fed when she had previously lived in our general area. She had 2 cats already, but wanted to give him a home also. I took Yogi to the vets for an exam and testing and was called and told that he had tested positive for FIV. He also had 2 K9 teeth broken off below the gum line and other things that you might suspect an outdoor cat living on his own probably had, roundworms(Drontal), earmites, and flea & tick infestation(Revolution). I gave the vet the "go ahead" to surgically take care of his teeth and everything else. He was also neutured ang given all his inoculations. He did test negative for Feline Leukemia. The lady originally interested in him no longer wants him after finding out he has FIV. The little guy has touched our hearts (not to mention our wallet) but we just can"t keep him with us because we already have 2 cats which is the max a household can have, so says our Homeowners Association. Since he came back from the vets, Yogi has been staying in our back glassed-in porch area which is heated, away from the other cats. He can't be an outside cat ever again. He's a very friendly and affectionate cat and loves being around people, which is amazing considering what he's been through. I won't euthanize him but I sure would like to find him a loving home. HELP PLEASE!

April was abandoned and pregnant when we rescued her from Apollo Beach, FL. Two days later she delivered 5 kittens. They have all been adopted. When April was spay she tested positive for FIV. We had her retested and once again she tested positive for FIV. We have been fostering April for a cat rescue group from Brandon, FL and they have abandoned her. We have several other cats that have also been abandoned in our care by this group and it has cost us hundreds of dollars to keep April healthy. I bring her to my vet once a month for a depo shot and she is also on clavamox twice a day. The vets bills are just no longer affordable for us. She is a very petite little tabby and weighs just 7 lbs. She is very loving and gentle. She is listed on PetFinder under Feline Folks

Echo was found starving and pretty scarred up on the side of the road. We picked him up and brought him home, he tested false positive for FIV then 6 weeks later he tested full positive for FIV. We do not have the money or resources to keep him but do just love him. He is a real lover, he loves to sit in your lap, loves to be held, has the loudest purr ever, comes when called and gets along fine with dogs. He unfortunately is confined to the garage, he needs a home or foster home where it is warm enough so he can be neutered and recover safely. He also needs shots & worming; he has a good appetite and is litter box trained. Besides needing to be fixed and vaccinated Echo has been to the vet and appears to have no other problems. Echo needs a good warm home to be loved and pampered

I was hoping to get him on your waiting list for special needs cats. He absolutely is a people-lover and loves getting and giving attention! He's also good with other cats, dogs, and small children.

This dark gray tabby with a blind eye came to our house about 3 months ago and we began feeding him. We have 3 other cats we have adopted over the last several years that showed up, just as this one did. One we have been able to tame, one is a bit feral and the other is very feral, although he lives on my back porch, gets along with our most recent one, and lets me pet and feed him. We trapped each one and had them tested, neutered, and vaccinated. Saving Graces helped us with the gray tabby recently and identified him as FIV positive. He is a neutered male, so must have belonged to someone at some time. However, i have not been able to spend time with him becsuse my other cats do not like him and I don't want them to fight, especially since he is HIV positive. He stays out of the way and comes up only to eat and sleep. The other cats seem to stay away form him when they are outside. I put a box under my husband's truck which he sleeps in at night. We plan to move in July and will not be able to move him with us, I am sure. I just pray that I will be able to move the other 3 and acclimate them to a new home. In addition, our new home has virtually no yard or places for them to hide. I plan to keep one in the house and garage and the other 2 on the back porch, just as we do now. This tabby is really sweet and there is no one in our neighborhood besides us who adopts strays. I fear he cannot hunt with the blind eye and will have no food at all. If you can take him, we will be glad to contribute to his upkeep on an ongoing basis. Please help! We will be so grateful. Helen Newell

Otis showed up on our patio as a people shy cat who seemed to want to approach us but was too scared to do it. After a few months of working with him slowly he has blossomed into a very affectionate cat who loves to cuddle. We took him to the vet for his vaccines and found out that he is FIV+. We already have 2 cats inside and can't accomodate any others at this time so we are hoping to find a loving indoor home for him where he will receive the love and care he deserves. He is a very handsome cat, a large medium haired orange and white cat. I can provide pictures if someone is interested in him, I just don't have them right now. I hope someone will give this loving cat a chance at a good indoor life. Right now he is still just staying on our patio with only a plastic doghouse to sleep in to keep him out of this cold PA winter! Please someone help! Thanks. Jamie

these kittens were brought to me by the mama, who had been attacked by dogs, they were only a few weeks old. I nursed mama back to health, had all the kittens spayed/neutered (even mama) and had planned to keep them. Unfortunately I just found out they have FIV, and i can not keep them as a precaution to my son who has had a heart transplant. This breaks my heart, I've become very attached to these babies-they are very sweet! Please help me find good homes for them.

Meet Win! I call him that because he looks like a cross between Winston Churchill and Winnie the Pooh. Win is a handsome, affectionate, cuddly five year old male cat who showed up at my house about a year ago. He was so friendly that I thought he had a home but it has become obvious that he does not so I had decided to try and place him however a problem has occurred – he tests positive for FIV. His previous owners had him fixed and the vet says he appears to be healthy however the FIV is making him impossible to place. The vat admits that if he was vaccinated for FIV (which could have happened since he’s been fixed) then he would test positive for FIV because the vaccine would have placed the antibodies in his system but without a conversation with his owners we have no way to truly determine his status. If he is truly positive he could still live a fairly normal life but I need to find someone willing to take a chance on him. I think he’d make a great companion and would offers lots of unconditional love in exchange for a home to call his own. Please let me know if you are interested in giving this tough to place cat the second chance he deserves. Right now he's living in my half bath so he's in tight quarters and a bit lonely - I know he'd be especially grateful for a loving home. Thanks for reading this!
